SigEp MIT’s executive board traveled to the 2019 Carlson Leadership Academy in Stamford, Connecticut, learning useful leadership skills and networking with members of other SigEp chapters. The covered leadership topics proved useful not only for members’ positions, but also for future career and life opportunities.
Brothers broke off into different tracks designed for their respective positions, each containing events presented by eminent SigEp alumni and industry friends. Each track covered the responsibilities and logistics of its leadership position and gave the chance to do productive work for the chapter. For instance, the VP Communications director began work on a groundbreaking new SigEp website, helping keep alumni engaged and members and friends updated.
Overall, this weekend was a break from mountains of PSETs and other responsibilities. Many hands were shaken, new connections were formed, and skills attained.
